I think my piezo gain needs to be turned down a notch, but I don't want to mess with that yet, never messed with electronics on a hollowbody. I received mine 2 days ago and have already put lile 7 hrs on it. But pics, because its love at 2nd site and I want to show it off. And its light as a feather and allows controlled feedback. Fretwork is better than my MIM Fender and the nicest of the four (assuming lowering the action doesn't prove otherwise) and the acoustic sounds are a great simulation. The flame maple top and back isn't up to the standards of the greats, but it's natural and damn damn pretty. The ebony fretboard is sleek, gorgeous, and the abalone inlays dayglow in the right light. The neck feels closer to a Gibson than Fender, both in width and thickness, but not identical to either. I'm falling in love with this guitar, and fast. It accepts both as if it grew up with them. I've played clean, and on stacked tube screamers. Budget guitar pickups that don't sound dead. When compared to my MIM Player pickups, it's dark, but compared to the Epiphone Alnicos and CV Wide Range, it's bright and closer to that open single-coil sound, but thicker with the nasally moan of a humbucker. I think they require a little dial-down turn on the tone knob, but once the edge is off, these pickups transform from the ass-shaking naked guy jumping on stage to the hottie in the front row dancing like there's no care in the world. Sang in a pure lively clarity that doesn't exist in my other guitars. I don't see much discussion about the LT "S" pickups, and I have to say that after a slight tone adjustment on the guitar, these things sang. The guitar came with the same pickups as the PRS HB Piezo Standard, SE McCarty 594, and S2 ,the 58/15 LT "S." I've got to say, these pickups are so much brighter. Yes, this is my 6th, and no, I'm not nearly good enough a player to warrant owning 6 guitars. It's the most expensive guitar I've ever purchased ($100 > 300 > 400 > 350 > 550 > PRS SE). So, after months of waiting, I received my SE Hollowbody II piezo. Update: I've lowered the action and the guitar is perfect. Disclaimer: I haven't had a setup yet, and if lowering the strings a "tad" causes fret buzz, I'll lower my opinion.
